UNIT 14 M1
M1- how do protocal's and devices keep data safe?
To keep protocol’s and devices data safe you can have a password to keep all your information safe in an area which only you can see cause no one knows your password, also to make it more secret you can have a family memmber or a nickname as your password so no one can guess it easily. Also do not leave your area logged in - just in case anyone can acces your data and change your information. Bluetooth is very easy to hack as the code is easy to read whilst Wi-Fi is protected by W.P.A making it harder to hack into unless you leave your Wi-Fi open then it is only a click away to hack into. without a password people can access your setting so with a password your protocols are more protected.

STEP 1. first of all, go onto you blackberry device, and send a text messege by going onto send contact card.
STEP 2. it will then come up with these options click text messege.
STEP 3.it will then come up with this, it wont come up with the blue boxes because this is a private conversation, but this is how the messege would be recieved and wrote

RadioShack head quarters have been made aware of the social and legal implications of using mobile technologies. Although your technical knowledge is very good they want to know if you can describe two instances where mobile technology could have an impact on:
a) social life. Choose from: human interaction eg text messaging, multimedia messaging, emails, virtual offices; health issues eg posture, RSI, eye strain; environmental effects eg visual impact of phone masts, disposal of components; illegal imagery
b) the law. Choose from: data security eg accidental loss, theft; hacking activities eg wardriving, piggybackin
you can present this evidence as a video or sound recording psted on to blog site, or if you prefer, you can submite it as a report.

social life: The legal effects of using your mobile phone for text meesaging. The effects are that it will re-strain you from going otside to communicate with your friends and family on a social basis, it would give you a better confidents talking through via text, this could also be a problem, but when you are outside and you have just seen them, you wouldn't be able to talk to them on your mobile unless you have wifi/ hotspot.
Multi-messaging, is when you can send pictures or video's, through your phone; and some can be legal, but sometimes if you were to get a photo online, off the internet, this could be copy right which is illegal, therefore using particular websites to download your stuff could be illegal to download.
the law : Piggybanking on internt access to pracrice of establishing a wireless internet connection by using another subscribr's wireless internet access services without the subscriber's obvious permission or their knowledge. it is a legally and ethically controversial pracrice, with the laws that vary by justidiction around the world. This is used alot around the wrold, and is very easy for people to get the information they needed for social networking sites.

Justify the protocol transmission type you used. Ensure you find positive and negative aspects for the protocol and suggest a second way you could have sent the contact.
- A protocol that I use is bluetooth, i use this to send stuff such as music; pictures, videos e.t.c
- before using bluetooth you would have to switch it on first.Whilst bluetooth you would have to pair with other devices then search them in your previous bluetooth senders, when you have done pairing you have switch off your bluetooth
- Bluetooth is useful because you can send to any technical device and it has no limit.
- Negatives about bluetooth is that sometimes depending on what phone you have bluetooth doesn't send, such phones are IPhones.
- Another negative about this protocol is that depending on the distance of the mobile device it would not send, if someone starts to get a distance from you and you are bluetoothing it would automatically stop.
- Another Protocol is BBM which stands for blackberry messenger. Using BBM you can be sending things to other blackberry's such as music, pictures; video's e.t.c.
- The negatives about BBM it has a limit of Mega bites (MB) sometimes when sending things it will decline your request because of the MB limit.
- Another negative is that because of BBM it is only on Blackberry's and even with BBM you cannot send it on other devices except for Blackberry's.
- Even with the MB limit you can still send things and also messages.

UNIT 14 P3
The methods mobile devices communicate are called protocols, you need to identify and describe all the protocols used by an up-to-date mobile phone and a laptop, giving examples of the file types you would send over these protocols.
- WiFi - WiFi is a type of protocol; it is wireless connection to internet, worked better in a local area than a far distance. This can be used to contact people using interractive internet such as facebook, twitter e.t.c , this is very useful but the negatives are that sometimes you will need a password to use someones or a public places WiFi, which in public area's you cant ger access of but in homes WiFi passwords are easily confused.
- 3G - 3G is a type of protocol, it is used for internet acess inside or outside the house, different to Wi-Fi; 3G offers better and more serviceoptions to its users, including mobile braod band. Also offers more fliexibility and service by making it more efficiant osed of moblie bandwidth than its predecessor 2G. Although faster and newer 4G tecnology is now available, 3G still remains the UK's dominant mobile broadband technolgy. The negatives about 3G is that it is only on mobiles that are on contract but you cn get them on IPad's.
- sms - SMS is another protocol, it is used for mobiles to text other mobiles, you can receive and deliver messages from other people with mobles. The negatives about sms is that with no network you can type your message but it wont send, also you have to pay for sms it doesnt come cheap.
- Bluetooth - Bluetooth is also another type of protocol, it is used to send data to other devises such as song, video's; pictures .e.t.c bluetoth send to all sorts of devices if the bluetooth is connected. The negatives about bluetooth is that bluetooth only send from a particular distance onces the devices are far from each other they will stop sending, also on some devices bluetooth doesn't work but that very rare.
UNIT 14 P5
A local delivery company have been allocated money to improve their service. Some of the money has been put aside for mobile technology approx. £500 per driver. Make suggestions to the director of how he can spend the money, to make the delivery service more efficient. Give examples how the mobile technology will help the business.
An ideal phone a delivery man would get would be a Samsung Galexy Note2:
I advise this Samsung because it only cost £410.00, which leaves the user with £90. This phone is also good because it has a large screen and has a 16GB memory which is a lot of memory which can store a lot. The note has a lot of writing tool more than a Note Pad template and also a 3100mAh battery empower to keep your mind at ease as you unleash your creativity.
This will be very good for a Local Driver because it has a navigator for any areas they don't know and and also good for internet, bluetooth; also the large screen with make it more fun.
